Tree of Life expressions in world cultures
This sample is from Kazakhstan. Details are from a regalia, named ‘Golden Warrior’. It’s dated to 4th-5th centuries BC.
The regalia includes: a costume of gold plates; plaques depicting felines, deer, and horses; a gold-plated dagger and sword; and a spectacular pointed headdress. The headdress includes horses, two winged beasts with horns, and birds, among other things.
Here on 2nd pic. each bird sits atop a tree comprised of eight branches – four on a side. According to catalog entitled Gold and Grass, Nomads of Kazakhstan, the birds may represent the souls or heavenly world and the trees, tree of life.
